The Sangiovese Superiore Marzeno DOC Poggio Vicchio Romagna by Fattoria Zerbina is a wine that enchants with its simplicity and fragrance. Coming from a single vineyard, parcel 38, on the hill of the Vicchio farm of the same name, this wine is a hymn to the red clays of Marzeno. Its lively ruby appearance is a prelude to the olfactory notes of morello cherry and red cherry, embellished with a slightly mineral touch in the finish. On the palate, it is pleasantly dynamic, supported by slender tannins and pleasant acidity. The vinification takes place in steel tanks with maceration on the skins for approximately 10-12 days, followed by refinement in steel for approximately 6 months. Ideal for a romantic candlelit dinner, it pairs beautifully with red meat dishes and mature cheeses.
