Shipping

1) Shipping from Italy to the United States

Vinai del Borgo (T.C.S. Borgogno S.r.l.) ships products from Italy to eligible destinations in the United States using specialized carriers and logistics partners.

2) Estimated delivery times (not a guarantee)

  • Standard delivery time to the U.S. is typically 14–30 business days from dispatch depending on destination, carrier routing, customs clearance, and required documentation.

  • All delivery timelines shown at checkout or in emails are estimates, not guaranteed delivery dates.

3) Dispatch timing

Orders are typically dispatched within 3–4 business days after payment confirmation (excluding weekends/holidays), unless otherwise stated.

4) Duties Paid (DDP) – import duties & customs clearance

We offer Duties Paid (DDP) for U.S. shipments: import duties and standard customs clearance/brokerage costs are included unless explicitly stated otherwise at checkout.

Important: Any additional charges caused by recipient actions or delivery circumstances are not included and remain the customer’s responsibility, including but not limited to:

  • address correction / re-routing requests;

  • storage/holding fees;

  • redelivery fees;

  • refusal-related fees;

  • return-to-sender fees.

5) Alcohol compliance: age verification and adult signature (21+)

Because alcohol is regulated in the U.S., delivery requires:

  • Recipient is 21 years of age or older; and

  • Adult Signature Required at delivery (carrier age verification).

We do not ship to PO Boxes/APO/FPO addresses.

6) Correct address and delivery availability

You must provide a complete and accurate shipping address and ensure someone 21+ is available to sign.
We are not responsible for delays, failed delivery, or extra costs caused by:

  • incomplete/incorrect address;

  • recipient unavailable for adult signature;

  • refusal or inability to present valid ID;

  • re-routing requests after dispatch.

7) Failed delivery attempts, holds, and returns

If delivery cannot be completed, the carrier may attempt redelivery, hold the package at a pickup location, and/or return it to sender.

All additional costs generated by failed delivery (including return shipping) are the customer’s responsibility and may be charged before any reshipment. If return costs exceed the order value, no refund may be due.

8) Tracking and proof of delivery

Tracking is provided when available. A shipment marked as “Delivered” by the carrier (including delivery scan and/or signature where applicable) is treated as fulfilled.

9) Damage / leakage / breakage (claims window)

If your shipment arrives damaged, leaking, or broken, notify us within 48 hours of delivery with photos of:

  • outer box, inner packaging, damaged bottles;

  • shipping label.
    We may require additional information to file a carrier claim.

10) Refusing delivery

If you do not intend to accept the shipment, you should refuse delivery. Refused/returned shipments may incur significant return costs which remain the customer’s responsibility.

11) U.S. tariff policy changes and customs processing delays (DDP)

Recent U.S. trade and tariff actions introduced in 2025 under the Trump administration, together with related U.S. Customs and Border Protection (CBP) tariff reporting/processing requirements, may result in additional entry reviews, documentation requests, inspections, or clearance holds that can extend transit times beyond our estimates.
We ship Duties Paid (DDP) and will pay the applicable import duties/tariffs covered under our DDP service; however, customs processing times are controlled by government authorities and the carrier. Therefore, delays caused by tariff-policy changes, CBP procedures, or any governmental clearance processes are outside our control and we are not liable for any delivery delays or related consequences arising solely from such processes.
