The Barbera d'Alba Superiore "Palazzotto" Cadia is a sublime expression of Piedmontese winemaking, originating from the historic Roddi region. This wine, born from the meticulous selection of Barbera grapes handpicked at their peak ripeness in mid-September, represents a masterpiece of taste and tradition. The vinification process involves precise maceration for 7-8 days, followed by 12 months of aging in French oak barriques, a method that enriches its complexity and structure. In the glass, the "Palazzotto" reveals a deep, intense red color, adorned with garnet hues. Its bouquet is an olfactory artwork, a tapestry of aromas where red fruit jam and vanilla blend with spicy nuances and subtle balsamic hints. On the palate, the wine presents an elegant and robust structure, a perfect balance between power and finesse. Notes of ripe fruit and sweet spices coalesce into a long, lingering finish that invites deep contemplation. Ideal for pairing with rich and structured dishes, such as red meats and aged cheeses, the Barbera d'Alba Superiore "Palazzotto" Cadia is also an excellent companion for moments of solitary reflection. It is a tribute to the richness and diversity of the Piedmontese terroir, a wine that narrates the story of a land and its traditions.
