The wine
Imagine yourself in a historic villa in Lombardy, where time seems to have stood still. Here, in the heart of Capriolo, the Ricci Curbastro family has perfected the art of winemaking for 17 generations. Born from this legacy, the Franciacorta Metodo Classico Extra Brut DOCG is a sensory journey that unites history, tradition, and the future. Made with a blend of Chardonnay and Pinot Noir, this wine is a tribute to the land from which it comes. The aging of 42 months in the cellar reveals a complexity that few other wines can boast. To the eye, the wine presents itself with crystalline brightness, while the nose offers a bouquet of aromas ranging from white-fleshed fruits to mineral notes. In the mouth, its structure is enveloping and creamy, with a finesse that only Extra Brut can offer. For a complete gastronomic experience, pair it with raw fish dishes or oysters. It is the ideal companion for an elegant dinner or a special celebration.
The winery
Located in Capriolo, in the province of Brescia, Ricci Curbastro is one of the most historic and renowned companies in Franciacorta. The current estate, now managed by the 17th generation of the family, was founded way back in 1895 and today covers 27 hectares of vineyards in Franciacorta of the total 32 owned. Attention to sustainability issues, particular attention to every detail during production and a continuous search for innovation in the cellar, make each bottle a surprising journey between history, tradition and future.
