Champagne Cuvée du Dimanche – Champagne De Lozey

Sunday in a Glass: Tradition with Precision and No Dosage

Champagne De Lozey’s Cuvée du Dimanche captures the spirit of family gatherings. This zero dosage blend of 70% Pinot Noir and 30% Chardonnay comes from selected plots like Lemblée, Chopinottes, and Val Champignat. Enriched with reserve wines aged up to 15 years, it rests on the lees for at least 36 months using the traditional method.

In the glass, it shows a golden hue and refined, persistent bubbles. On the nose, fresh white fruit, citrus peel, and raw almond emerge clearly. The palate reveals a clean balance: Pinot Noir structure meets Chardonnay-driven freshness, ending in a dry, mineral finish.

Ideal for those who appreciate pure, unadorned Champagne—perfect as an aperitif or with seafood carpaccio, shellfish, or light white meats.

Maison De Lozey – Deep Roots in the Côte des Bar

Founded in 1881 in Celles-sur-Ource, at the heart of the Côte des Bar, Maison De Lozey is now led by Philippe Cheurlin, the fourth generation of the family. The 15-hectare estate is planted mostly with Pinot Noir and Chardonnay, plus a small amount of Pinot Blanc. The vineyards lie on Kimmeridgian marl from the Upper Jurassic, imparting a marked mineral character to the wines.

The winemaking philosophy is artisanal and eco-conscious, certified by both Viticulture Durable en Champagne and Haute Valeur Environnementale (HVE). Each cuvée reflects sustainable viticulture and terroir-driven winemaking that enhances grape typicity and complexity.

Among its flagship labels are the Brut Tradition, as well as the Extra Brut Blanc de Noirs (100% Pinot Noir) and the Blanc de Blancs (100% Chardonnay), each aged on lees for a minimum of three years.

What is the right occasion to enjoy this product from Champagne De Lozey ?

Champagne has always been synonymous with celebration, but its many nuances make it suitable for many occasions, even the most intimate or unexpected. It is perfect for a wedding toast, an important anniversary or midnight on New Year's Eve, but it can be equally refined for an elegant picnic, a lunch on the terrace based on raw seafood or an aperitif at sunset with friends.

What is special about Champagne Cuvée du Dimanche - Champagne De Lozey ?

The Côte des Bar represents the most authentic, artisanal and surprising soul of Champagne. Located in the Aube department, south of the classic region, this area is distinguished by Kimmeridgian soils similar to those of Chablis, ideal for giving Champagnes a vibrant minerality.
The true peculiarity of the Côte des Bar lies in its production fabric: a myriad of small vignerons who cultivate and vinify with an artisanal approach, often biodynamic or natural. This independent and experimental spirit has allowed the birth of original cuvées, often with very low dosage, which express the terroir with great transparency. They are less standardized Champagnes, more identifiable, with a strong character and great personality, perfect for those seeking authenticity and a different narrative of Champagne.
