The wine "Cesare" stands as a monument to Cesare Borgogno's visionary intuition, who in the distant 1920s inaugurated a revolutionary tradition: that of reserving 20,000 bottles of each exceptional vintage, to be sold only after two decades. This practice has allowed the creation of a unique wine, the result of the meticulous blending of different vintages, each with its own story, a perfect fusion of tradition and innovation. The wine is a harmonious composition of Barolo and Barolo Riserva from three distinct moments, expertly blended in stainless steel for two months, giving life to an unparalleled whole that celebrates the diverse facets of time. It is composed of 45% Barolo 2014, 35% Barolo Riserva 2003, and 20% Barolo Riserva 1982. The varied aging in Slavonian oak and cement gives Cesare an aromatic complexity and a tannic structure that merge into a unique tasting experience. Visually, Cesare stands out for its deep ruby color, promising an extraordinary olfactory and gustatory richness. On the nose, the bouquet initially reveals spicy notes, resin, tobacco, and a slight hint of smoke, evoking the exceptional vintage of 1982. These sensations then intertwine with the intensity of spices, chocolate, and caramel aromas, heritage of the 2003 vintage, concluding with the freshness and vivacity of red fruits and spice of the Barolo 2014. In the mouth, Cesare presents itself with a full body, expressing a perfect balance between power and elegance. Power comes from the older vintage, while elegance and freshness are the contribution of the more recent vintages, creating a highly drinkable and persistent wine. Perfect paired with intense and structured dishes, such as braised meats, game, and aged cheeses, Cesare is a wine that invites contemplation, capable of transporting those who taste it on a journey through time and the history of Borgogno.

Borgogno is an institution in the wine world, with roots dating back to 1761 in the Langhe region of Piedmont. This historic winery has traversed centuries of Italian wine history, significantly contributing to the development of Barolo, known as the "King of Wines." Cesare Borgogno's innovative vision in the 1920s, which expanded production and began exporting wines abroad, positioned Borgogno as an international reference point in the wine industry. Today, Borgogno manages 39 hectares of land, 31 of which are vineyards, with cultivations ranging from indigenous varieties such as Nebbiolo, the protagonist of their renowned Barolo, to minor varieties such as Dolcetto, Barbera, Freisa, Riesling, and Timorasso, the latter being the focus of a revitalization project. Borgogno's philosophy, which combines respect for tradition with an eye for sustainability and innovation, is reflected in its wines, appreciated both for their traditional style and long-term aging potential, making them favorites among Italian wine enthusiasts and collectors.
