Brunello Fattoria la Lecciaia is a high-quality wine produced and bottled in the Montalcino region of Siena, Italy. This wine is made exclusively from Sangiovese grapes, with a medium-textured soil containing sand and clay deposits, and a cordon speronato training system.
Harvest takes place in the last week of September or the first week of October, and vinification takes place in temperature-controlled steel vats for a period of 15-20 days with frequent racking. The wine then matures in Slavonian oak barrels for a minimum of 36 months, followed by a further aging in bottle for at least 4 months.
Brunello is released on the market five years after harvest, and the annual production for each vintage is around 80,000 bottles. Thanks to its long maturation, Brunello develops a complex character and an intense flavor profile. In general, Brunello is known for being a robust wine, with a firm tannic structure, balanced acidity, and good aging potential. It pairs well with meat dishes, especially if roasted or braised, and aged cheeses.

Fattoria La Lecciaia was founded by Mauro Pacini in 1983 in Montalcino and covers 60 hectares, 15 of which are vineyards. At the beginning of the 2000s the family bought another property in Maremma in the Montecucco appellation, the company was then enriched by another 16 hectares of vineyards. The marvelous main cellar is always that of Montalcino set around the Manapetra vineyard from which the precious Cru produced by the company derives. The grapes are best valued thanks to careful and meticulous care during the vinification and the wine is subsequently embellished by years of aging in wood. The result is genuine wines that respect tradition with a modern imprint: structured reds with soft and velvety tannins over time, elegant fruity bouquets and remarkable and persistent palate.
