The Vermouth Rosso by Mirafiore represents an excellent expression of Piedmont's winemaking heritage, enriched by a complex blend of aromatic herbs. Produced from a base of Piedmontese white wines, including Moscato and Nebbiolo, this Vermouth stands out for its historical recipe that integrates 46 different aromatic herbs, including flowers, plant roots, fruits, and spices, all naturally extracted and blended with wine, sugar, and alcohol according to tradition. Thanks to its unique composition, the Vermouth Rosso by Mirafiore serves as a versatile aperitif or digestif, perfect for being enjoyed cold with ice during the summer or warm (three teaspoons suggested) in the winter months. Its natural freshness and thirst-quenching ability also make it ideal for being served in classic cocktails, such as the Negroni, to which it adds a distinctive herbal note. This Vermouth uses grapes grown under organic farming practices in Mirafiore's vineyards in Serralunga, showcasing the winery's commitment to organic production and the enhancement of the authentic flavors of the territory. The story of Casa E. di Mirafiore is deeply intertwined with the very roots of Piedmontese wine and its nobility. Founded in 1878 by Emanuele Alberto Guerrieri, Count of Mirafiore and son of the first King of Italy, the winery is located in the fertile territories of Barolo and Fontanafredda. Emanuele Alberto's vision, an entrepreneur of noble origins, revolutionized the wine world of the time with a modern approach to winemaking and a strong commitment to the community. Recently, Casa E. di Mirafiore has intensified its commitment to sustainability, achieving organic certification in 2018 and celebrating its first certified organic harvest. This orientation was further reinforced in 2022 with the publication of the first Sustainability Report and the acquisition of certifications for sustainable practices in its own 25 hectares in Serralunga, vegan products, and recognition as a "Historical Brand" by the Italian government, a sign of its historic contribution to the oenology of the Langhe, combining tradition and sustainable innovation.
