THE COLLIO’S CHARACTER IN ONE BLEND
Maisha by Villa Russiz is a unique Collio white blend that combines Malvasia, Friulano, and Ribolla Gialla. Hand-harvested early in the morning, the grapes undergo a short maceration and gentle pressing. Fermentation takes place in 500-liter used tonneaux with native yeasts.
The wine matures on fine lees for at least six months and then rests another twelve in bottle. Brilliant straw yellow in color, it opens with almond, wild herbs, sage, and mint. On the palate, it is round, smooth, and softly acidic—balanced and refined.
Perfect with San Daniele ham, spring herbs (hop shoots, bruscandoli, silene), and shellfish, Maisha celebrates Collio’s native varietals in a sophisticated, expressive way.
Best enjoyed during: springtime lunches, light herb-based dishes, refined appetizers.
