Borgogno's Langhe Nebbiolo DOC "Bartomè" pays tribute to the authenticity and tradition of Nebbiolo, cultivated in the historic vineyards of Barolo, where the microclimate and marly limestone soil enriched with sand contribute to enhancing the unique characteristics of this noble grape variety. Vinification occurs through spontaneous whole-berry fermentation, without stems, in cement vats, followed by one year of aging in large Slavonian oak barrels, underscoring Borgogno's commitment to preserving the integrity and varietal expression of Nebbiolo. The Langhe Nebbiolo "Bartomè" is distinguished by its ruby red color with violet reflections, tending towards garnet with aging. On the nose, it opens with persistent and ethereal notes of flowers, such as violet, and fresh red fruit, particularly wild strawberries, indicative of the wine's youthfulness. On the palate, the wine is harmonious, with a enveloping sweetness and vibrant tannins, a faithful representation of Nebbiolo's intrinsic characteristics. This wine pairs perfectly with a variety of dishes based on red meats or even game, aged cheeses, as well as simple pasta dishes or risottos.

Borgogno is an institution in the wine world, with roots dating back to 1761 in the Langhe region of Piedmont. This historic winery has traversed centuries of Italian wine history, significantly contributing to the development of Barolo, known as the "King of Wines." Cesare Borgogno's innovative vision in the 1920s, which expanded production and began exporting wines abroad, positioned Borgogno as an international reference point in the wine industry. Today, Borgogno manages 39 hectares of land, 31 of which are vineyards, with cultivations ranging from indigenous varieties such as Nebbiolo, the protagonist of their renowned Barolo, to minor varieties such as Dolcetto, Barbera, Freisa, Riesling, and Timorasso, the latter being the focus of a revitalization project. Borgogno's philosophy, which combines respect for tradition with an eye for sustainability and innovation, is reflected in its wines, appreciated both for their traditional style and long-term aging potential, making them favorites among Italian wine enthusiasts and collectors.
