Dolcetto d'Alba - Cantina Cadia: Authenticity and Everyday Pleasure
The Dolcetto d'Alba by Cantina Cadia is a dry, young, and lively red wine that genuinely reflects the Langhe region’s character. The grapes come from vineyards in Roddi, grown on southeast-facing hills at 250-300 meters above sea level, on clay and limestone-rich soils, typical of the area.
Hand harvesting ensures careful grape selection. After a gentle pressing, the must ferments in stainless steel tanks at controlled temperatures, enhancing the Dolcetto’s fresh and fruity profile. The wine then matures for several months in stainless steel, maintaining vibrancy and balance.
👀 Color: deep ruby red with violet reflections.
👃 Aroma: fresh and fruity, with notes of cherry, blackberry, and plum, alongside delicate floral hints.
👅 Taste: dry, smooth, and well-balanced, with pleasant acidity and a slightly almond-like finish.
🍽 Pairings: excellent with cured meats, fresh cheeses, meat-based pasta sauces, mushroom risottos, and grilled white meats. A perfect choice for casual lunches and social dinners, thanks to its versatility and enjoyable drinkability.
The Cantina Cadia, nestled in the rolling Langhe hills, passionately champions Piedmont’s native grape varieties. Their Dolcetto d'Alba is a shining example: honest, authentic, and perfect for any occasion.
The Cadia farm takes its name from the homonymous hill located on the south-east ridge between Roddi and Verduno. The management of the cellar is family-run and all of the production comes entirely from the 12 hectares of property. The excellent exposure of the vineyards together with their management as natural as possible, following criteria of integrated pest management, ensure that a genuine and high quality product is created.
