The Barbaresco Pajorè by Cantina Piazzo Armando is a distinguished cru from the prestigious Barbaresco area in the Langhe region. With its bright garnet-red color, this Barbaresco immediately captures the eye. The nose is an intricate bouquet of red berries, dried roses, and violets, complemented by hints of sweet spices and a touch of leather. On the palate, it reveals flavors of ripe cherries, plums, and a subtle note of licorice. The tannins are fine and well-structured, giving the wine a balanced and elegant body. The finish is long and persistent, leaving a delightful aftertaste of spiced fruit and a hint of earthiness.

The grapes for this Barbaresco are hand-harvested and undergo a gentle pressing before fermentation in stainless steel tanks. The wine then evolves for at least 9 months in small oak barrels, allowing the flavors to develop and mature gracefully. This Barbaresco Pajorè is a versatile companion at the table. It pairs excellently with hearty pasta dishes like tagliatelle with truffle sauce or rich meat dishes such as braised beef or lamb chops. Its refined structure also makes it a great match for aged cheeses like Gorgonzola or Taleggio. Ideal for a sophisticated dinner party or a special celebration, this wine is sure to impress.

The Piazzo Comm. Armando winery was founded in the 1960s by Armando Piazzo and Gemma Veglia in San Rocco Seno d'Elvio, a hamlet in the Municipality of Alba. To date, the company can count on 70 hectares of vineyards in the municipalities of Mango, Neviglie, Guarene and Novello. The winemaking philosophy respects tradition especially for the production of Barolo and Barbaresco but with particular attention to cleanliness and innovation. In the cellar, the effort is at its maximum to make the most of the raw material, fruit of the sacrifices and work carried out in the vineyard. The wines produced are the soul of the territory, they stand out for their perfumed bouquets on the nose, with great body and structure but balanced and elegant on the palate.
