The Etna Rosso DOC from La Gelsomina is a wine that captures the volcanic essence of Sicily. Made from a blend of Nerello Mascalese and Nerello Cappuccio, this wine pays homage to the land it comes from. The color is a deep ruby red with garnet reflections. On the nose, you'll find elegant and intense notes of red fruits, spices, and a touch of minerality. On the palate, the wine is structured, with soft tannins and a lingering finish. Aged in steel and then in small/medium Oak, this wine expresses its best potential when paired with robust dishes like roasts and aged cheeses. Ideal for a refined dinner or a special occasion, this wine is a true gem of Sicilian viticulture.

La Gelsomina was born on the edge of the Santa Venera stream where Piedimonte Etneo gives way to the County of Mascali, in the small hamlet of Presa located on Etna. From the clayey and lava soil, from the "Gghiara" as the Etna people pronounce it, there are 15 hectares of vineyards, olive groves and orchards that take on the shape of an amphitheater. Here the autochthonous varieties of the volcano Nerello Mascalese, Nerello Cappuccio, Carricante and Catarratto are grown, as well as Moscato dell'Etna. Thanks to careful vinification, quality wines with a strong character are obtained, capable of surprising for their finesse and delicacy.
