Salice Salentino Rosso DOP 2017 - Vecchia Torre

Produced by Cantina Vecchia Torre, this wine is a blend of Malvasia Nera and Negroamaro, two of the most representative grape varieties of Puglia.
The harvest takes place in an alluvial soil that is deep and medium-textured, with areas tending towards limestone. The training system used is the bush vine and spurred cordon, with a planting density of 4500-5000 plants per hectare. After harvesting, the wine undergoes meticulous fermentation in stainless steel tanks.
Visually, the wine stands out for its intense and rich red color. On the nose, it offers a complex bouquet with hints of toasted notes such as tobacco, vanilla, and chocolate. On the palate, the structure is intense yet balanced, with soft tannins that blend perfectly with a pleasant acidity and well-defined minerality.
The structure of this wine is robust and well-balanced, making it an excellent choice for aging. It pairs splendidly with a variety of dishes, from red meats to aged cheeses.
