The Barolo Annunziata Vigna Plicotti DOCG by Silvio Grasso is an ode to the winemaking mastery of Piedmont, a region that has always known how to express the best of Nebbiolo. This wine is a hymn to the earth, a masterpiece born from carefully selected Nebbiolo of Annunziata area, grown in the Vigna Plicotti, vineyard that is almost sacred for their ability to transform simple grapes into divine nectar. Visually, the wine is a captivating garnet red, deep as an autumn sunset. On the nose, it's an olfactory journey through a forest of ripe blackberries, black pepper, and notes of leather and tobacco, with a subtle hint of wilted rose adding a touch of romance. On the palate, it's an explosion of flavors: forest fruits, dark chocolate, and a hint of licorice, all balanced by a tannic structure that promises excellent aging potential. This Barolo is the ideal companion for an elegant dinner. Imagine a beef fillet with truffles or a plate of agnolotti del plin; this wine elevates every meal to an unforgettable experience.

The Silvio Grasso company was founded in 1927 but it was only in the mid-1980s that Alessio Federico began to bottle the entire production. Now the La Morra winery manages 14 hectares of which 6 are owned but Alessio is supported by his wife Marilena and his sons Paolo and Silvio. The company focus remains on Barolo in the various crus but also Nebbiolo and Langhe Rosso as well as Barbera d'Alba are to be considered wines of excellence that combine the rich and prestigious territory of the Langhe and in particular of the La Morra area with a capable personal style to surprise even the finest palate.
