The Nebbiolo vineyard from which this Roero comes is located in Castellinaldo d'Alba, on a calcareous and sandy soil with a south-west exposure. The wine has a deep ruby color and a complex aroma that combines floral notes of iris and fruity notes of raspberry, enriched by the first ethereal and spicy notes of cinnamon and green pepper. On the palate, the wine is full-bodied, warm and soft, with a long aromatic persistence. It is a wine that prefers flavorful but elegant dishes, such as red meats, game and long-aged cheeses.

The Cravanzola company was founded by Carlo Annibale Cravanzola in 1930 and, to this day, the new generations carry on his passion with the same enthusiasm and with the same precision. Immersed in the historic heart of the village of Castellinado d'Alba, the Schiavenza winery is equipped with cutting-edge technologies for the production and aging of wine. The Roero area is a place of dense and interconnected hills where the vine dominates the sunniest slopes, with exposures to the south, east and west. This land has an ancient and rich history which leaves traces of castles, towers, churches and ancient villages. The soil, made up of layers of sand mixed with calcareous and clayey marls, is perfect for the production of fruity wines thanks to the alternation of clouds and sun during the harvest season. The vineyards of the Cravanzola winery extend among the surrounding hills, with different positions and exposures, which offer ideal conditions for the cultivation of different grape varieties, producing every year high quality wines with original and well-defined properties.
