This wine is a masterful composition of several native grape varieties: 50% Corvina, 20% Corvinone, 20% Rondinella, and a 10% blend of Molinara, Oseleta, and Turchetta. These grape varieties are grown in the Municipality of San Pietro in Cariano, in clay and limestone soils that give the wine a unique aromatic and structural profile.
The harvest is a careful and meticulous process, followed by drying the grapes in the region's typical fruit cellars for about four months. This drying is subjected to rigorous control to ensure the highest quality. After fermentation in stainless steel tanks, the wine ages for 24 months, 30% of which in barriques and 70% in Slavonian oak barrels. This multiple refinement develops a complexity of aromas and flavors that make this Amarone a wine of extraordinary elegance and balance.
Visually, the wine stands out for its deep ruby red color, embellished with garnet reflections. On the nose, the bouquet is a symphony of aromas: ethereal and spicy notes mix with hints of cherry, black cherry, raspberry and currant in alcohol, enriched by nuances of cocoa and balsamic notes. On the palate, the structure is powerful but incredibly balanced, with soft tannins and a well-defined minerality. The wine is warm, full and of great structure, expressing a finesse and balance that make it an excellent choice for aging.
This Amarone della Valpolicella Classico Farina is a wine that speaks of tradition, terroir and passion, and pairs beautifully with a variety of dishes, from red meats to aged cheeses. It is a wine that can be enjoyed both in the short and long term, thanks to its ability to evolve and mature over time.
