Nebbiolo Langhe DOC 2022 - Ettore Germano

The Langhe DOC Nebbiolo by Ettore Germano embodies the essence of the Nebbiolo grape in the purest form, offering a wine that showcases the richness and complexity of this renowned variety. Grown at altitudes between 370 and 400 meters above sea level, on clay-limestone soils, with southeast and southwest exposures, this wine benefits from the unique microclimate and terroir of the Langhe region. The grapes are meticulously handpicked at the end of September, ensuring optimal ripeness and quality. Vinification involves a short maceration period of 4 to 5 days at around 25°C with the skins to extract color and a mild tannin structure. The wine completes its fermentation in stainless steel tanks, where it also undergoes malolactic fermentation, enhancing its smoothness and drinkability. It is then aged for approximately 6 months in stainless steel to preserve the fruit's freshness and primary aromas. Upon tasting, the Langhe DOC Nebbiolo reveals a medium-intensity, brilliant ruby red color. The nose is greeted with fresh scents of cherries and raspberries, complemented by floral notes of violets. The palate experiences a harmonious balance of medium to full body, good structure, and soft tannins, culminating in a clean finish that echoes the varietal's characteristic flavors.
