Immerse yourself in the allure of Greco IGP D'Avalos di Gesualdo, a white wine produced by the renowned Cantina di Venosa. This wine comes from vineyards situated between 400 and 450 meters of altitude in the northeastern part of the Basilicata region. The vineyards, aged between 15 and 20 years, are trained in a trellis system with an average density of about 3,500 plants per hectare. The harvest takes place in mid-October, with a manual selection of grapes collected in the early morning hours. The vinification is a meticulous process involving the crushing, destemming, and immediate pressing of the grapes. Part of the must ferments in stainless steel, while a portion is destined for French oak barriques, all at a controlled temperature between 15° and 18° C. Visually, the wine presents a straw-yellow color. On the nose, it stands out for its fruity bouquet, enriched by hints of yellow-fleshed fruit like peach and apricot, and a spicy note of sage. On the palate, the wine is fresh, mineral, and persistent, expressing the best of the region's volcanic Terroir. As for pairings, this wine is ideal for seafood dishes, risottos, and fresh cheeses.

Cantina di Venosa is one of the most renowned companies in the South. Established in 1957, today there are 350 conferring members for an area of approximately 800 hectares of vineyards. The winery, located in Venosa, a city in the north of Basilicata, established itself as the largest producer of Aglianico in the Vulture area. From this particular volcanic soil and thanks to the fortunate exposure of the Venosa hills, an Aglianico is born with an intense ruby red color with garnet reflections, a fruity and ripe bouquet and the savory and harmonious unmistakable flavor of the Vulture.
