The Aglianico del Vulture DOP Terre di Orazio from Cantina di Venosa is a wine that embodies the quintessence of Basilicata. Made from 100% Aglianico grapes, this wine originates from vineyards situated between 450 and 500 meters in altitude, a detail that contributes to its aromatic complexity. The age of the vineyards ranges between 15 and 30 years, ensuring a maturity and depth of flavor that are reflected in every sip. Visually, the wine presents itself with an intense ruby-red color, enriched by slight garnet reflections. On the nose, it offers a vinous and unique bouquet, with delicate scents of violet and currant. On the palate, Terre di Orazio is dry, full, and intense, with a pleasantly tannic note that makes it irresistible. The vinification takes place in small fermenters, followed by a pellicular maceration at controlled temperature. The aging occurs in 25 hl barrels for 15 months, and then it is bottled, thus ensuring a well-structured and elegant wine. As for pairings, this wine perfectly complements roasts of white meats, flavorful first courses, and spicy cheeses.

Cantina di Venosa is one of the most renowned companies in the South. Established in 1957, today there are 350 conferring members for an area of approximately 800 hectares of vineyards. The winery, located in Venosa, a city in the north of Basilicata, established itself as the largest producer of Aglianico in the Vulture area. From this particular volcanic soil and thanks to the fortunate exposure of the Venosa hills, an Aglianico is born with an intense ruby red color with garnet reflections, a fruity and ripe bouquet and the savory and harmonious unmistakable flavor of the Vulture.
