Incomodo Rosato Merlot – Venosa

Made from 100% Merlot, Incomodo Rosato originates on the rolling hillsides of Venosa, at altitudes between 400 and 450 meters above sea level. The vineyards, trained to spurred cordon with a density of about 4,000 vines per hectare, yield grapes vinified with precision: gentle crushing, destemming, immediate pressing, and fermentation in temperature-controlled stainless steel, ensuring clarity and aromatic purity. In the glass, it shows a bright pink hue with copper highlights and crystalline transparency. The bouquet is intense yet refined, offering layers of strawberry, raspberry, and cherry, enhanced by delicate vanilla nuances. On the palate, it is velvety and enveloping, marked by a well-balanced interplay of freshness and softness. The finish is elegant, with subtle persistence and fine textural detail. What sets this rosé apart is its refined yet fluid interpretation of Merlot, offering lightness without simplicity. Cantina di Venosa is one of the most renowned companies in Southern Italy. Founded in 1957, today there are 350 contributing members for a surface area of approximately 800 hectares of vineyards. The winery, located in Venosa, a city in the north of Basilicata, is the largest producer of Aglianico in the Vulture area. From this particular volcanic soil and thanks to the fortunate exposure of the Venosa hills, an Aglianico is born with an intense ruby red color with garnet reflections, a fruity and ripe bouquet and the unmistakable savoury and harmonious flavour of Vulture.
