Emerging from the richness and diversity of the Piedmontese terroir, Barolo Silvio Grasso is a wine that captures the essence of Nebbiolo in all its majesty. Grown in soils of marl and sandstone, this wine is a vivid portrait of the land from which it comes, La Morra in the Barolo region.
The harvest takes place between the end of September and the beginning of October, followed by meticulous fermentation in stainless steel tanks. Aging in oak barrels imparts complexity and depth to the wine, which manifest in every sip.
Visually, the wine presents itself with a garnet-red color, enriched by orange reflections, a distinctive sign of high-quality Barolos. On the nose, Barolo Silvio Grasso stands out for its enveloping and complex bouquet, with notes of forest fruits, leather, fine spices, and nuances of rose and tobacco. On the palate, the wine's structure is robust and well-balanced, with elegant tannins that harmoniously blend with incisive minerality, culminating in a long and memorable finish.
This Barolo is remarkable for its complex and well-balanced structure, making it an ideal wine for aging. It is a versatile gastronomic companion, capable of enhancing a variety of rich and structured dishes, from braised meats to roasted red meats and game. At the same time, its complexity and depth make it an excellent meditation wine.

The Silvio Grasso company was founded in 1927 but it was only in the mid-1980s that Alessio Federico began to bottle the entire production. Now the La Morra winery manages 14 hectares of which 6 are owned but Alessio is supported by his wife Marilena and his sons Paolo and Silvio. The company focus remains on Barolo in the various crus but also Nebbiolo and Langhe Rosso as well as Barbera d'Alba are to be considered wines of excellence that combine the rich and prestigious territory of the Langhe and in particular of the La Morra area with a capable personal style to surprise even the finest palate.
