The wine
The Frappato grapes are grown at an altitude of 200 meters on the gentle slopes of the Trapani hinterland. The grapes are handpicked in early September and undergo controlled temperature fermentation at around 22-24°C. The aging process first takes place in steel for 4 months, followed by 8-10 months in French and American oak tonneaux, and finally completes in the bottle for at least 6 months. On the palate, the wine is full-bodied and well-balanced, with soft and polished tannins. The olfactory profile is dominated by an effusion of ripe red fruit and floral notes, enriched by the sweetness of vanilla from the wood toasting. The finish is long, persistent, and pleasantly velvety. This wine pairs wonderfully with red meat and game dishes but is also versatile enough to accompany fish soups, white meats, and local cheeses. Ideal for an elegant dinner or a gathering among friends.
