The Barbera Montezavo Oltrepò Pavese Riserva DOC by Isimbarda captivates from the first glance with its deep ruby red color. On the nose, it stands out for its great complexity, ranging from red berry fruit to violet, up to spicy hints of elegant refinement. The structure is marked, and the persistence on the palate is remarkable. Produced in proprietary vineyards in the Municipality of Mornico Losana, at an altitude of 250 meters, this wine is the result of a 15-day maceration in steel tanks and aging in new French oak tonneaux for 14 months, followed by another 6 months in the bottle. Ideal for pairings with game and hard-aged cheeses, this wine is an excellent choice for an elegant dinner or a special occasion.

The Isimbarda winery owes its name to the ancient family of the Marquises Isimbardi, feudal lords of the Santa Giulietta estate in the 17th century. The cellar is located in Casteggio in Oltrepo' Pavese and covers 36 hectares with vineyards in the municipalities of Santa Giulietta and Mornico Losana. The company production is varied and ranges from Riesling Renano to the vinification of Pinot Noir, Bonarda and Barbera up to the Oltrepo' Pavese Classic Method. The Isimbarda Company is undergoing a biological conversion and its objective is to allow its wines to best express the character and quality of the Oltrepo' Pavese area.
