When we started renovating the place, we asked ourselves how to literally set up the shop. We didn't want a classic setting, but we didn't want to stray too far from traditions either.

A bit like wine, we wanted customs to merge with the avant-garde. In the following months, with the help of the architecture studio of Riccardo Bertolone and Elena Carnino, we began to put ideas together. The choice of materials was obviously taken for granted, i.e. based on a reference to the world of wine.

WOOD – Protagonist of the furniture of the wine shop

The role of wood in the production of wine is very important, almost fundamental in the case of red wine. The barrels are impermeable to liquids, but not to gases. This allows oxygen to penetrate the wine and affect its structure. The oxygen, together with the tannins released by the wood, gives the wine a strong color and a more balanced and evolved aroma.

IRON – An element that binds and gives prestige in the details

Characteristic of all the great cellars in the decorative and architectural fields.

Wrought iron was used in the past for the decoration of sumptuous gates which later became a symbol of large wineries, but also with great practicality to "cage" the bottles. It was also present in the vineyards and support for the young vine.

CONCRETE – With the spiral staircase that becomes a load-bearing and furnishing element.

The concrete tanks gently accompany the fermentations and follow the seasonal trend of temperatures. This is gained both from the point of view of energy saving and in terms of taste quality, giving more harmonious results to the wines.

THE CORK – Used as a decoration in the shop and as a bearer of balance in the part of the cellars.

The cork stopper has been known since the times of the Ancient Greeks. This was used to close containers and, in particular, amphorae. Over 2500 years ago it was understood that the wood obtained from the cork tree (or cork tree) had particular characteristics. Cork is a thermal insulator, it resists shocks, floats and allows you to seal containers. According to tradition, a special merit goes to Pierre Dom Pérignon, the father of champagne. The famous Benedictine monk was also the inventor of the cork stopper. In reality, Dom Pérignon has studied and remodeled the typical closure of the canteens of pilgrims passing through his abbey, applying them to his wine productions.

The floor of the shop is dominated by an iron counter supported by a wooden structure.

The wine presentation cabinet is made by local artisans and designed by architects and is the combination of practicality and technicalities. There are two display cases behind the counter which keep the whites and sparkling wines ready for consumption. The stools for the counter are made "in a cage" with a seat in natural cork.

In the basement, an important recovery of the original cellars was made, enhancing the brick vault, enhancing it with decorative elements in stone.

The natural presence of good humidity and a naturally constant and cool temperature has created the excellent home for resting wines.

We are waiting for you to be able to immerse yourself in a welcoming and familiar environment. There will be wines for tasting that will surely help even the most undecided to choose the perfect bottle for every occasion.
