Langhe Riesling Borgogno Era Ora is a refined Piedmontese wine that expresses the authenticity of the terroir of Madonna di Como, Alba. Made from 100% Riesling Renano grapes, this wine comes from vineyards located at 500 meters above sea level on calcareous and clayey soils. The vines, grown according to the Guyot system with a density of 5,000 plants per hectare, produce manually harvested bunches. The vinification begins with a three-day cold maceration, followed by static decantation and spontaneous fermentation in cement for 20 days at controlled temperatures of 17-18°C. The wine then ages for six months on the fine lees in steel tanks, followed by another six months of aging in steel and two months in the bottle, giving complexity and depth to the final product. To the eye, Langhe Riesling Borgogno Era Ora presents itself with a straw yellow color with greenish reflections. The bouquet is semi-aromatic, with notes of ripe fruit, yellow flowers and a characteristic minerality that increases with aging. On the palate, the wine is fresh, crisp and vertical, with a balance between acidity and body that leaves a long and pleasant aftertaste. This Riesling is ideal to accompany fish dishes such as marinated tuna, lobster, pike and monkfish, but it also pairs perfectly with goat and blue cheeses. Try it with sushi, ceviche and spicy dishes such as chicken tikka masala.

Borgogno is an institution in the world of wine, with roots dating back to 1761 in the Langhe region of Piedmont. This historic winery has spanned centuries of Italian wine history, contributing significantly to the development of Barolo, known as the "King of Wines". Cesare Borgogno's innovative vision in the 1920s, which expanded production and began exporting wines abroad, positioned Borgogno as an international point of reference in the wine scene. Today, Borgogno manages 39 hectares of land, 31 of which are vineyards, with crops ranging from native varieties such as Nebbiolo, the protagonist of their renowned Barolo, to minor varieties such as Dolcetto, Barbera, Freisa, Riesling and Timorasso, the latter at the center of a revitalization project. Borgogno’s philosophy, which combines respect for tradition with an eye to sustainability and innovation, is reflected in its wines, which are appreciated for both their traditional style and long-term aging potential, making them a favorite among Italian wine enthusiasts and collectors.
