Cantina Moscone's Barolo 1877, a gem from the Bussia area of Monforte d'Alba, is made exclusively with Nebbiolo grapes, cultivated between 450 and 480 meters altitude, in well-exposed and carefully managed vineyards. The hand-harvested grapes initiate a meticulous vinification process, with maceration for about 20 days. After fermentation, the wine spends 24 months in Slavonian oak barrels, followed by at least 12 months in stainless steel, perfecting its maturation before bottling. This Barolo presents a garnet red color and offers a rich and complex aroma of ripe red fruits, wilted flowers, and hints of spices and undergrowth. On the palate, the wine is enveloping and elegant, with silky tannins and a freshness that perfectly balances its body. It is the ideal accompaniment to intense dishes like grilled meats, stews, cold cuts, and cheeses, as well as aromatic recipes such as those based on truffles.
