The Alta Langa Vigna Gatinera Riserva 72 months Blanc de Noir Pas Dosé Brut Nature by Fontanafredda is a superlative expression of Pinot Noir, cultivated in the lands of Serralunga d'Alba, and it is the only Alta Langa with the "Vigna" mention. This wine, the result of careful selection of grapes from the Vigna Gatinera, matures for 72 months on the lees, much longer than the stricter regulations of Alta Langa. The grapes are harvested at the end of August and beginning of September, and after gentle pressing, the must ferments at low temperature in stainless steel and partly in barrels in the underground cellars. Visually, it presents itself with a brilliant golden color and greenish reflections, characterized by a very fine and persistent perlage. The nose is greeted by a complex and intense bouquet, with predominant notes of white flesh fruit such as peach and pear, toasted hazelnut, and fresh bread. On the palate, the typical structure of Pinot Noir harmoniously blends with the sweetness of the mousse and the liveliness of the acidity, offering a long and persistent aftertaste, with fresh, savory, and spicy sensations. This wine proves excellent as an aperitif, but thanks to its undisputed personality, it pairs beautifully with all courses, promising a refined and classy pairing for a complete culinary experience. Therefore, the Vigna Gatinera represents a masterpiece of oenology, a tribute to the Piedmontese winemaking tradition and its ability to innovate while respecting quality and territorial identity.
