Sauvignon "Abrigat" – The Aromatic Elegance of the Langhe
Sauvignon "Abrigat" is an aromatic white wine produced by Cadia Winery, located in Roddi, at the heart of the Langhe region. Made exclusively from Sauvignon Blanc grapes grown in local vineyards, this wine showcases the excellence of the terroir and the winery’s commitment to quality.
Vinification takes place in stainless steel tanks at controlled temperatures, followed by aging on fine lees for several months, enhancing its aromatic complexity and structure. Bottled in March following the harvest, Sauvignon "Abrigat" displays a straw-yellow color with greenish hues, hinting at its vibrant and refined aromatic profile.
On the nose, it reveals intense notes of elderflower, sage, and citrus, while on the palate, it is fresh and lively, with a perfect balance of acidity and body and a pleasant, lingering finish.
This Sauvignon Blanc is ideal as an aperitif and pairs beautifully with fish dishes, shellfish, and vegetables, including the classic Piedmontese asparagus preparations. Its versatility also makes it an excellent match for fresh cheeses and light Mediterranean cuisine.
The Cadia Farm takes its name from the homonymous hill located on the south-east ridge between Roddi and Verduno. The winery is run by a family and all of the production comes entirely from the 12 hectares of property. The excellent exposure of the vineyards together with the most natural management possible, following integrated pest management criteria, ensure that a genuine and high-quality product is created.
