The Barolo Riserva from Borgogno is an authentic expression of the Barolo terroir, crafted exclusively from Nebbiolo grapes sourced from the most prestigious vineyards: Cannubi, Liste, and Fossati. Situated in a south/southeast position, these vineyards benefit from a limestone and clay soil, contributing to the wine's structure and complexity. The planting density is 4,000 vines per hectare, cultivated using the modified Guyot training system. Fermentation occurs spontaneously in cement tanks at controlled temperatures, followed by a submerged cap maceration that can extend up to 50 days. Aging takes place in large Slavonian oak barrels for six years, with cement refinement before bottling and an additional six months of bottle aging before release to the market. This Barolo Riserva is a wine of remarkable complexity and longevity, characterized by its verticality and structure. Its production only occurs in the finest vintages, making it a wine of great concentration and power, which Borgogno reserves for the most favorable years. Ideal with hearty meat dishes or for moments of contemplation, paired with dark chocolate or simply for a special toast, it is an expression of pure elegance and tradition.

Borgogno is an institution in the wine world, with roots dating back to 1761 in the Langhe region of Piedmont. This historic winery has traversed centuries of Italian wine history, significantly contributing to the development of Barolo, known as the "King of Wines." Cesare Borgogno's innovative vision in the 1920s, which expanded production and began exporting wines abroad, positioned Borgogno as an international reference point in the wine industry. Today, Borgogno manages 39 hectares of land, 31 of which are vineyards, with cultivations ranging from indigenous varieties such as Nebbiolo, the protagonist of their renowned Barolo, to minor varieties such as Dolcetto, Barbera, Freisa, Riesling, and Timorasso, the latter being the focus of a revitalization project. Borgogno's philosophy, which combines respect for tradition with an eye for sustainability and innovation, is reflected in its wines, appreciated both for their traditional style and long-term aging potential, making them favorites among Italian wine enthusiasts and collectors.
