Produced from forty-year-old vines, this wine is a tribute to Elena, Roberto's daughter to Italian winemaking art. Its appearance is of intense ruby with violet reflections. On the nose, you'll find enveloping aromas of dark cherries and strawberries, perfectly blended with notes of ripe blackberry, red plum, and vanilla. The palate is enriched by velvety tannins and an impeccable balance between acidity and sweetness, culminating in a persistent finish with accents of licorice and anise. Aged for 14 months in oak barrels, it adds extraordinary complexity to the wine. Ideal for pairing with rich dishes such as pasta with meat sauce, pan-fried duck breast or a pizza with salami, this wine is a perfect companion for intimate dinners or special occasions.
